Firefly Athletics Affiliate Program Details

General Overview

As an Affiliate, you will be sharing Firefly Athletics through your own unique affiliate links. When someone clicks on your affiliate link and is brought to Firefly Athletics’ website, you will receive a commission on every purchase they make for the next year. Our Affiliates enjoy an industry high 20% commission rate of the purchase price. Our Affiliates get commission off their own purchases as well. Every product is eligible for our Affiliates to promote and receive a commission on. You will get paid every month that you’re eligible for a payment. Once approved as an Affiliate, you can see accrued commissions, payments, and manage all of your Affiliate details from the “Affiliate” tab within your “Account” page on fireflyathletics.com.

Application Process

To apply as an Affiliate, please visit fireflyathletics.com/affiliates/ and fill out the Affiliate Application Form.

We will review your application, we will review it and approve or deny your application, usually within 24 hours. There are very few circumstances we will deny your application. If you are denied, we will let you know why.

Once approved as an Affiliate, you will immediately gain access to the Affiliate tab within your account and all other benefits of being an Affiliate.

Earning Commissions

Commission Rate: As an Affiliate, you will enjoy an industry high 20% commission rate of every purchase made for a full year (365 days) of every user they direct to our website through their custom affiliate links. Our Affiliates get the same 20% commission off their own purchases as well. Every product is eligible for our Affiliates to promote and receive a commission on.

There are two ways of earning a commission, through affiliate links or through coupons.

Affiliate Links: The default method (and most common way) is through affiliate links. You will be given an affiliate link that will look something like this: https://fireflyathletics.com/ref/yourusername and this will be the link you will promote and direct people to click. Once a user clicks on the link, you will be accredited for sending that user to our website and you will earn a commission on anything they purchase for the next 365 days.

Affiliate Coupons: Coupons are less common but we do allow them. If you would like a custom coupon to be made for you, you can request one by emailing our Affiliate Manager at eric@fireflyathletics.com. Within your Affiliate dashboard (Account > Affiliate > Profile) you will see a “Want an exclusive coupon to promote? Request affiliate manager for a coupon” link that will direct you to email our Affiliate Manager as well. Like an affiliate link, when a user uses a coupon code, you will be credited a commission on that user’s purchase.

Year-long Commission Exceptions: Commissions are granted to the last Affiliate to refer a user to our website.

For example: If Affiliate A refers a user to FireflyAthletics.com using their affiliate link, they will receive a commission off every purchase that user makes for the next 365 days. However, if after a few months, Affiliate B refers the same user using their own link, Affiliate A will no longer receive any commissions from the user and all commissions from purchases by the user for the next 365 days will be accredited to Affiliate B because they were the last Affiliate to refer the user.

The only other exception to the year-long commission is if the user deletes their cookies from their browser and we can’t track the user and their referral from you. We use cookies to track a user’s interaction with our website and whom referred them. How it works is when a user clicks an Affiliate’s affiliate link, a cookie is stored for 365 days within the users browser stating that the user was referred by the Affiliate. This is what allows us to track information about the user for whenever they visit our website. If at any point the user deletes this cookie from their browser, we won’t be able to track the user and won’t be able to credit you with a commission.

If you don’t receive a commission that you believe you should have received, just reach out to us and let us know and we’ll do our best to make it right.

Using Your Affiliate Links

Your affiliate links can be accessed within the Profile section of your Affiliate page (Account > Affiliate > Profile). Once there, you will have a few options for your links.

Here is an example of how the page looks:

Your affiliate identifier: This is where you can choose your username

Your referral URL is: This is your affiliate link. You will promote this link and use it to refer people to fireflyathletics.com.

Referral URL generator: You can use this to create your own referral URL path.

Specific Product Referral Link: If you want a link to promote a specific product, you will notice that when you are logged into your affiliate account, you will be able to see a “click to copy affiliate link” button on every product in our shop under the “Add To Cart” button.

Getting Coupons

Coupons are not something Affiliates get or use by default. However, Affiliates are able to request coupons tailored for their promotional needs.

To request a coupon, email our Affiliate Manager at eric@fireflyathletics.com with details about the coupon you need. You can also find a link to the Affiliate Manager’s email in the Affiliate section of your Account. Make sure to include details about the coupon you’re requesting and your affiliate username.

Once you get a coupon code, you can promote it and have users use the coupon and you will get commissions based on their purchases.

Note: If you promote a coupon that gives a percentage or dollar amount off the purchase price of items, your commission will be less than normal because your commission percentage is based off the final purchase price of items after discounts are applied.

Getting Paid

Affiliates get paid every month. We will review and send payment every first week of every month for commissions earned in the previous month.

In order to get paid, you need to tell us how you’d like to be paid. By default, we pay Affiliates via PayPal. If you are okay with being paid by PayPal, you will need to enter the PayPal email address associated with the account that you want paid into the Payment Setting section. This is located within your Affiliates page under the Profile tab (Account > Affiliate > Profile) and it looks like this:

Get paid differently: Although we prefer paying through PayPal, we are flexible on how we can pay our Affiliates. If you prefer receiving your commission payments in a different manner, email our Affiliate Manager at eric@fireflyathletics.com and request a different payment method. Our Affiliate Manager will let you know if we can accommodate you.

Taxes: Affiliates are independent contractors and will be paid without taxes taken out. If you make over $600 in a single calendar year, we will request additional information from you so that we can send you a 1099-K form.

Media

We provide media for our affiliates to use. As an approved Affiliate, you may use the media and you are allowed to edit the media and use it in your own graphic design work as long as:

It doesn’t change the product in a way that would mislead people into believing that the product is different than what it actually is.
It is being used to promote Firefly Athletics within the scope of your Affiliate work / goals.

If you want to use media not available in our media section, please contact our Affiliate Manager and submit a request.

Terms and Conditions

By becoming an Affiliate, you agree to the terms and conditions of the Firefly Athletics Affiliate Program which are laid out on this page, above and below this statement. You also agree to the following:

The terms and conditions of the Firefly Athletics Affiliate Program can be changed by Firefly Athletics at any time, without notice.
Firefly Athletics can remove you as an Affiliate at anytime and for any reason.
If an Affiliate does not provide an approved and valid payment method for Firefly Athletics to pay them, Firefly Athletics is not required to pay commissions owed after 365 days of failure to provide an approved and valid payment method.
Affiliates are not permitted to misrepresent themselves or their intentions to Firefly Athletics during or after the Affiliate Application process.
Affiliates are not permitted to mislead potential customers about Firefly Athletics or it’s products.
Affiliates are not permitted to use the Affiliate Program or any Firefly Athletics product in any illegal behavior.
